The island of Eleuthera offers a wide variety of restaurants. Waters Edge is located close to many and some we recommend are:

 

Tippys - On Banks road, between Governors Harbour and North Palmetto Point. Tippy's is an upscale restaurant on a beautiful beach overlooking the Atlantic, serving fantastic lunches and dinners. The fish entrees are creatively prepared while staples such as fish & chips and steak will never disappoint. The gourmet pizzas are great for a light dinner. Occasional entertainment. Dolcevita at Runaway Bay Marina - This South Palmetto Point restaurant serves some of the best food in Eleuthera. Gourmet seafood and Continental dishes are created by Chef Paolo and Flipper, his wife. Overlooking the Caribbean and a new marina. Reservations are a must. Don't miss this gem. 242.332.0220.

 

Mate and Jennys – Located in South Palmetto Point, this favorite of locals and vacationers serves terrific fried grouper and conch dinners. Other full dinners include chicken and porkchops. Mate and Jennys is known for its great pizzas to eat in or carry out. Sandwiches also are on the menu. Credit cards accepted.

 

Sunset Inn - Located on the southern edge of Governor's Harbour on the rocky shorline overlooking the Caribbean, the Sunset Inn is a great place to relax on the back deck in the afternoon as the sun goes down. At night, it serves reasonably priced and very good fish, conch and crawfish (lobster) dinners. Owners and staff are very friendly and courteous. The Sunset also is open for breakfast and lunch.

 

Banks Road Deli - On Banks Road north of Tippy's. It has a great assortment of gourmet meats, cheeses and breads. May have rack of lamb, steaks and sausages.

 

The Pina Café and Deli – A nice addition to Governor's Harbour, the Pina Café and deli serves breakfasts and lunches to eat in or take out. The deli has a great selection of luncheon meats and salads to take home. Great large sandwiches, wraps and subs.

 

Buccaneer Club – The Buccaneer Club is in the heart of Governor's Harbour and boasts both a roof and back deck overlooking the harbor. It serves Bahamian and American style breakfast and lunches.

 

Joe's Bar and Grill - Located on Banks Road in North Palmetto Point. Serving casual style American food for lunch and dinner.
